Extreme Computing Density for HPC Applications
True high density computing
Leveraging the power of new Intel 5500/5600 series processors, the
RS724Q-E6/RS12 uses four independent hot-pluggable nodes in a 2U
chassis. Each node supports 6-core and 4-core CPUs plus 12 DIMM
slots with up to 96GB of memory. The server delivers enhanced high
density in a compact four-node 2U configuration, totaling 48
computing cores and 48 DIMM slots.
Intelligent power managementThe RS724Q-E6/RS12 ships with
1600W 80+ platinum redundant power supplies, enabling 88% power
efficiency. With load balancing functionality, it allows the dual
power supplies to handle even the heaviest workloads with ease.
High speed Interconnect
Onboard InfiniBand QDR (40Gb/s) and a QFSP port make the
RS724Q-E6/RS12 well prepared for HPC applications with higher
transfer rates and lower latency.
Thoughtful design enables easy maintenance
The RS724Q-E6/RS12 cares for users with several considerate
features. Hot-swappable hard drives, fans and power supplies, even
hot-pluggable nodes for convenient online servicing and
replacement. Plus, theres an individual front panel for each node
for faster standalone operations.
SAS 2.0 (6Gb/s) storage technology
Optional ASUS PIKE upgrade kits include a PIKE riser, PIKE RAID
card, and an SAS port, upgrading the server from SATA to SAS
storage easily and with great cost-performance efficiency.
Real time remote server management
The optional web GUI-based ASMB4-iKVM upgrade kit enables full
control of server functions via a remote screen. ASUS ASWM software
provides easy deployment and management with a user-friendly
interface, delivering centralized management, asset supervision,
notification mechanisms and integrated BMC BIOS updates.
